Seeking locums or locums to full-time Gastroenterologists in the Bay Area with an interest in working with a diverse and underserved population. The position would involve a general GI clinic, GI procedures, and hospital calls. Specialty: Gastroenterology Occupation: Physician (MD/DO) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3-month contract (with the ability to renew) Employment Type: Contract Position Summary: EMR: EPIC Main responsibilities will be within the Hospital as well as two clinics in San Pablo and Pittsburg, CA The procedure schedule is on Wednesday and Friday, 8 am-5 pm Patients per day = 10 clinic patients per 4 hours, 5 procedures per 4 hours Call is required, typically 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month (could get up to two weeknights per week and 2 weekends per month, several times per year) No codes Support = RNs and LVNs office staff Full Malpractice coverage with tail insurance Travel and stay are covered if required The hospital is located in the East Bay and is within close driving distance of Oakland and Berkeley. There are also many recreational activities nearby such as San Francisco, Napa/Sonoma wine valleys, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, and Yosemite.
