practical experience. 5 years of experience with software
development in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python). 3
years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software
products, and 1 year of experience with software design and
architecture. Experience with Generative AI Agent. Experience with
Large Language Models. Experience with research. Preferred
qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a
related technical field. 5 years of experience with data structures
and algorithms. 1 year of experience in a technical leadership
role. Experience solving complex research problems such as
long-context models and multimodal (video/image) understanding, 3D

technology forward. AI and Research Accelerator is a specialized
team within the newly formed AI Innovation and Research
organization. Our mission is to take the latest breakthroughs and
translate them into AI/ML experiences for Google's highest-priority
Platforms and Devices (P&D) initiatives. We are a team of ML
specialists dedicated to working on highly impactful projects with
the potential to reach billions of users. In this role, you will
architect these solutions and directly guide our product teams from
concept to launch. You will be offered unparalleled visibility,
giving you the opportunity to drive deeply impactful work that
frequently takes center stage at major events like Google I/O and

innovation. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's
various computing software platforms across environments (desktop,
mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and
services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and
hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new
technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster
and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users
around the world. The US base salary range for this full-time
position is $174,000-$252,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary
ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the
range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

Responsibilities Forge partnerships with product teams and
researchers at DeepMind to translate AI research into tangible user
experiences in flagship P&D products. Design and build ML
models and infrastructure that serve as a foundation for multiple
product teams, identifying strategic opportunities to accelerate
innovation across the entire P&D ecosystem. Apply existing
literature by conceptualizing and validating novel machine learning
hypotheses. Invent new methodologies from advanced multi-agent
reasoning frameworks to novel training techniques that push the
boundaries of what's possible in Gen AI. Apply a strong research
background to 'think outside the box', working on complex,
unprecedented technical bottlenecks with creative, non-traditional
machine learning approaches. Lead the end-to-end development of
experimental AI features, driving rapid iteration cycles to ensure
models are robust and ready to be showcased on global stages like
Google I/O.
